Wout Poels will ride the Tour de France as expected. The Dutchman has been included in the Tour selection by his team Bahrain-McLaren. The last few years Poels was master servant of Chris Froome with Team Ineos, but with his new team he can go for his own chances.
Two leaders
Notable absent is Dylan Teuns. The Belgian was good for a stage victory last year, but has not been selected now. To Sporza he says he’s disappointed. “I won a stage last year, what more do I have to prove to be there? They think I’m not in shape, when that’s really not true.” The quartet is assisted by Jan Hirt from the Czech Republic, Jonas Koch from Germany, the Swiss Michael Schär and the Italian Alessandro De Marchi.CCC goes for stage wins
