The first Nations League topper has ended in a tie. Spain and Portugal competed against each other in Madrid and came no further than a 1-1 draw.

Spain was dangerous, but there was no more scoring and so the top was a bit disappointing. Portugal got better after Ronaldo was brought within the lines after an hour of play. In the final phase, it was still 1-1 by Ricardo Horta, who scored at the behest of Joao Cancelo. Jordi Alba still had to make 2-1, but headed for empty goal next to.
