Positive start ambitious Chelsea in Premier League

The greatly strengthened Chelsea has made a positive start to the new season in the Premier League. Coach Frank Lampards team won 3-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion. At halftime, the visitors led 1-0 thanks to an exploited penalty kick from Jorghino.

Ten minutes after the break, the home club, without Davy Pröpper and with ex-Ajacied Joël Veltman on the bench, came on level terms thanks to a hit by Leandro Trossard. Reece James and Kurt Zouma then secured the first victory for the number 4 of last season.

At Chelsea the expensive additions Kai Havertz (ex-Leverkusen) and Timo Werner (ex-Leipzig) had a base place. Other newcomers such as former Ajacied Hakim Ziyech (injured), Ben Chilwell (ex-Leicester City) and Thiago Silva (ex-Paris Saint-Germain) were still missing among the ambitious Londoners.
