Praise for Memphis and Frenkie

Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong made a good impression during FC Barcelonas 3-0 win over Elche on Saturday. The Dutch internationals both started in the base and the former PSV player scored the Catalans second goal.
Mundo Deportivo calls Memphis performance outstanding. He went from less to more. The Dutchman became increasingly confident and was fundamental to Barças attack. In the 24th minute, he was already standing with his back to the goal, leaving his guard behind and shooting, but goalkeeper Edgar Badía rescued. In the 41st minute, he repeated exactly the same action and beat the goalkeeper in the top corner. He received a standing ovation at his switch.

Depay with the 2-0! 💥 Depay is sidelined but luckily just on the right side, the recognizable spin followed by a nice finish 🤩 #ZiggoSport #LaLiga #BarcaElche

Diario Sport also concludes that Memphis took his chance and gives him a 7. Although he started far on the left, he scored a razor-sharp goal just before the break. He accepted, pulled the ball under his foot and scored. He grew in the game and was also important in the third goal by tapping the ball away from Badía.
The Catalan sports newspaper states that Memphis has proven that it can be of value to Xavi. He stubbornly and determined to stay with Barça and now wants to show that he can make things difficult for Xavi. His attitude at the training is impeccable, which is why the trainer gave him a chance. Directly or indirectly, he played a role in all goals.

Barcelona goes through immediately! 👀 It wont be long before Barca scores 3-0 again, and Lewandowski gets to write a goal after his name 🎯 #ZiggoSport #LaLiga #BarcaElche

Unfortunately, Im not playing a lot of minutes this season, but Ill keep trying to assert myself in the minutes I get, Memphis himself responds to Barça TV. Im happy with my goal. I try to take advantage of the opportunities, and I work on that every day during the training.
Frenkie de Jongook Frenkie de Jong gets compliments. A great competition, as even states. Top quality with the ball at the foot, strong in the team, intelligent in setting the pace, protagonist in recapturing the ball and alert in the switch. Verdús red card followed a great pass by De Jong, which allowed Robert Lewandowski to go for the goal alone.
Diario Sport keeps it at 7 for the ex-Ajacied, but is also particularly enthusiastic. Although he played as a controller, he tried twice from a distance. He always dropped out to receive the ball and divided the game. Mundo Deportivo: Before Lewandowski scored, the Dutchman was the most sparkling player.

.. 😅 What a dumb red card, and so early in the game 🟥😳 #ZiggoSport #LaLiga #BarcaElche
