‘Pratto from PSV’ gets a chance in Europe: ‘Good time to give Zahavi rest’

Carlos Vinícius makes his basic debut with PSV surprisingly on Thursday night. The Brazilian has not yet been able to convince everyone in Eindhoven and beyond, but is allowed to start in the Europa League game with AS Monaco, instead of Eran Zahavi.
Vinícus was called ‘the Lucas Pratto of PSV’ by columnist Hugo Borst after his raid against PEC Zwolle on Saturday. However, Schmidt gets him the trust. There are a number of reasons for this. Eran has played a lot of games, not only for us, but also for the national team (from Israel, ed. ), he informs the PSV channels. As far as I‘m concerned, this was a good time to give him some peace.
His Brazilian colleague gets a base spot for the first time in his PSV time. He’
s been with us for four, six weeks and I think he‘s doing well on the workouts. He’s a different type of striker, especially in physical terms. And I think it‘s the right time to deploy it.
