Preparing for Liverpool and not knowing if youre going to play: not easy

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has to repatch his team after a corona outbreak and three cancellations. The North Londoners were scheduled to play against Liverpool again on Sunday, but it is not excluded that that match will also be dropped.
Spurs had to set a line through the matches against Stade Rennes, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City, which threatens a jam-packed catch-up program after the already busy holidays. On Sunday, Liverpool, the league‘s number two, is also waiting. โ€œIt’s going to be an important match against a great opponent, but I think we‘re ready,โ€ says Conte during his press talk. โ€œDespite all the difficulties we face.โ€
Conte therefore hopes that his team shows mental resilience. โ€œMorale was low, because we prepared ourselves and we worked towards the competitions for training. We tried to get ourselves ready for all those matches, but we haven’
t played time and time again. And it‘s not easy to prepare for a match against Liverpool, without knowing whether you’re going to play.โ€
Unless the sharply increasing infection rates throw a spanner in the works, Spurs and Liverpool will face Dutch time on Sunday at 5.30 p.m.
