Prince Harry Speaks Video Message for Dancing Former Marine

Prince Harry made his appearance on Saturday night in the British television show Strictly Come Dancing. Not as a participant, but as a moral supporter. The Duke of Sussex spoke in a video encouraging words addressed to participant JJ Chalmers, a former member of the Royal Marine.

Harry knew Chalmers from his participation in the Invictus Games, the international sporting event for psychologically or physically injured veterans whose prince is the initiator. โ€œWhen I first met JJ, he was a shadow of himself,โ€ Harry begins his message. โ€œBut when you flourished and became yourself during Invictus, it was the beginning of a fantastic journey.โ€

The Duke of Sussex continues to say that he is proud of his old Navy comrade. โ€œI‘m so proud because you’re here now. You‘re not a dancer, but you’re proving that you can do anything if you put your head on it, and that‘s great.โ€

Chalmers himself was visibly emoted by Harry’s video message. โ€œIt‘s simple: if Prince Harry hadn’t invented the Invictus Games, I wouldn‘t have had that catalyst moment that changed my life forever. Without him, I wouldn’t be here.โ€
