The President of the National Museum Foundation (FNM), Mehdi Qotbi, held talks with Japan’
s Ambassador to Morocco, Shinozuka Takashi, to explore avenues for museum cooperation between Japan and the Kingdom.

The topics discussed during this meeting focused on the expediency of organizing exhibitions in Morocco and Japan, the possibility of accompaniment in the digitization of museum devices and future celebrations between the two countries, says the FNM Monday in a statement.

Discussions also focused on the project to build a centre for initiation and training in museum trades: preservation, conservation and restoration, especially for the staff of African museums, says the press release.

The two countries have a strong relationship in several areas that is demonstrated by a long friendship between the two reigning families and a common history, said Mr. Takashi on the occasion.

These talks are part of the exchanges undertaken for several months with Ambassadors of countries accredited to Rabat, recalls the National Museum Foundation.
