PSV doesnt need mercenary back and stalls him at Union Berlin for another year.

Timo Baumgartl will also play next season at 1. FC Union Berlin. The rental agreement between the Bundesliga club and PSV has been renewed for one season.
After the won match against VfL Bochum (3-2), trainer Oliver Ruhnert indicated that Baumgartl is active in the German capital after the summer. This season, the center-back was a regular at Union. Baumgartl first gets plenty of time from the German club to get fully fit: earlier this week, a tumor was removed from him.
The fifth place in the Bundesliga final ranking allows Baumgartl to compete with Union for Europa League football. In Eindhoven, the 26-year-old defender is still on hold until the summer of 2024. In 2019, he was taken over for ten million euros from VfB Stuttgart, but at PSV he was unable to grow into a permanent base force.
