PSV fans agree to imprisonment and fine for coin throwing incident

Four PSC supporters agree to the Spanish prosecutors sentence of three months imprisonment and a fine of โ‚ฌ1,500, according to the Spanish news agency EFE.

The fans will be punished for belittling a number of beggars on a Madrid square on 15 March 2016 in the run-up to PSVs game with Atlรฉtico Madrid in the eighth finals of the Champions League.

They threw coins at female beggars, had them printed on the street and would have set fire to a โ‚ฌ5 note in front of the fans.

The foursome will pay the fine of EUR 1 500 to all the women involved. The fans have been banned from stadiums in the Netherlands for between one and three years.

Toon Gerbrands reported at the time that the fans repented for their actions and that, according to the PSV director, one of them had lost his job as a result of the incident.
