Joël Piroe and Timo Baumgartl are siding at PSV. The two may look for another employer, the club confirms.
Attacker Piroe (on the left side of the picture) and defender Baumgartl are given space from PSV to talk to other clubs about a transfer, the Eindhoveners know through the official channels. The two played a supporting role last season. Piroe was rented to Sparta in the 2019/2020 season and had to deal with raids after Roger Schmidts arrival. The same goes for Baumgartl, who was brought in by then coach Mark van Bommel in 2019.
Piroe was clear for a long time. The Wijchen born striker – accounting for five goals in 22 official matches last season – is making a transfer to Championship club Swansea City. However, Piroe needs to be patient: applying for a work permit will take some time due to Brexit legislation.
Baumgartl was close to a transfer in October 2020. The 25-year-old German only had to sign with Fulham, England, but decided not to do it at the very last minute. His contract with PSV continues for three more years.
