PSV is left alive by Volendam and reports to the last eight

PSV has reached the last eight of the Cup tournament with great difficulty. FC Volendam was given huge opportunities for rest, but did not pass the outstanding Lars Unnerstall and in the second half the Eindhovenaren made use of it: 0-2.

PSV was grateful to the German goalkeeper that it was still 0-0 at rest, because Volendam got great opportunities and earned it to get ahead in the first half. Samuele Mulattieri, Alex Plat, Nick Doodeman and Boy Deul all met Unnerstall and with that the PSV goalie kept his team in the match.
It turned out that the Brabanders had received no less than fourteen shots in the first 45 minutes and that they themselves had only been dangerous on half the opponent via Mauro Jรบnior. So make a case for the formation of trainer Roger Schmidt to tap from another keg after rest and so did.
From the kick-off of the second half PSV looked a lot sharper and that soon resulted in a goal. Volendam could not defend well due to the Eindhoven pressure and therefore the ball was delivered to Noni Madueke. The English attacker laid him in front of his left, and then found the far corner: 0-1.
This allowed the men of Schmidt to slow down a bit, but they did keep control of the game. The Other Orange was no longer in use and it did not get any chances on the equalizer. Ten minutes before, PSV decided the game. Denzel Dumfries was hit very lightly in the penalty area and then used the penalty awarded himself.

The final phase was therefore deprived of all tension, despite the fact that Mike Eerdhuijzen was still on the pole two minutes before time. For PSV it didnt matter much anymore: they joined the last eight in the cup tournament and for Volendam only the matches in the Kuiken Champion Division.
