A very remarkable rumour: PSV is busy with Eran Zahavi, striker of the Chinese Guangzhou R&F, the club of Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Club and player are even said to be close to agreeing.
This is reported by the Israeli newspapers ONE and Sport1 and the Chinese newspaper Sina Sports. According to the reports, Zahavi (33) is waiting for approval from his Chinese employer. The striker could go to Besiktas, but prefers PSV, so it sounds. A contract for two seasons is ready for Zahavi in Eindhoven
Zahavi seems to come out of the shaft of trainer Roger Schmidt. The German wanted to bring him to Beijing Guan twice when he was trainer there. Now Schmidt hopes for the arrival of Zahavi again.
SPORT1 stresses that Zahavi has not yet decided on his future, because Guangzou has not yet decided on R&F. However, Zahavi hopes to make the transition to the Netherlands. Should he come to PSV, he will become a big earner and will get a senior status, according to SPORT1.
Zahavi played for Hapoel Tel Aviv, Palermo, Maccabi Tel Aviv (under Peter Bosz) in his career and since 2016 he plays in China with Guangzhou R&F.
