Next season‘s PSV seems to be getting a whole new face under Ruud van Nistelrooy. Eindhoven people still hope to retain star player Cody Gakpo, but Football International Editor-in-Chief Freek Jansen knows how to report that four bass players seem to be on their way to the exit.
Earlier this week, it became clear that PSV had another Gakpo offensive in mind. Jansen speaks of a Memphis scenario in Studio Voetbal, aiming at keeping Memphis Depay inboard after the 2014 World Cup. “Then they convinced Memphis: stay another season, become the champion of the Netherlands and you’ll go away at a higher level. They are now trying to achieve that at Gakpo as well.”
Erick Gutiérrez has one more contract year left and, however, is in the emphatic interest of Benfica: that is where he can work with current PSV trainer Roger Schmidt. The departure of the German trainer also seems to have consequences for three players he has brought to Eindhoven “Götze, that is a bit of the presumably that he is leaving, Zahavi probably leaves and Sangaré is a lot of interest.”
