‘PSV regains German interest: Union Berlin reports in Eindhoven’

Philipp Max and Mario Götze came to PSV in 2020 in the same transfer window and may also leave simultaneously. Where the latter is expected to complete his transition to Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday, Max is on the radar at 1. FC Union Berlin.
According to the German branch of Sky Sports, the talks between PSV and Union are ongoing, although it is unclear at what stage the negotiations are at. The German club already has an alternative plan up its sleeve. If Max does not return to the Bundesliga, Bastian Oczipkas contract will be renewed. The Eindhovens Dagblad is not yet familiar with the interest in the left-leg, but it does know the medium that interested clubs can pull their wallets. Max is still stuck in Eindhoven for another year and came over 7.7 million euros from Augsburg two years ago.
In his first season at PSV, Max was a regular on Roger Schmidt
s squad, but he wasnt always sure of his place in the last year. Although Mauro Júnior was often posted in the back position, Max still made 25 Eredivisie appearances in the past season. In it, he scored once and was declared three times.
