PSV has Benfica-striker Carlos Vinícius on the grain, Voetbal International and Eindhovens Dagblad report. The Eindhoveners initially dealt with a return from Luuk de Jong, but the Sevilla attacker proved to be unfeasible. PSV would like to rent Vinícius.
It is not clear if PSV is actually doing Vinícius. The striker has landed siding in Portugal and can count on multiple offers. For that reason, PSV also uses other spits, although it is not clear who.
The number two of the Eredivisie may want to bring in an extra midfielder in addition to a new striker. What players technical manager John de Jong is looking for is not known alone.
Last season, Vinícius was already leased by Benfica to Tottenham Hotspur. There, the 26-year-old Brazilian was able to take action in the Europa League. In that tournament, Vinícius achieved a fine moyenne: in nine duels he reached six goals and three assists. Benfica took over the attacker from Napoli for 17 million euros two years ago.
Trainer Roger Schmidt has made no secret in recent weeks that he would like to welcome another striker to PSV. It seemed like the Eindhovenians would bring De Jong back, but soon a line went through that.
