‘PSV wants to give a little bit of support and let contract offer’

PSV does not withdraw the contract offer it made by Shurandy Sambo. The Eindhovenaren right-back was recently badly injured and had not responded to PSVs offer at that time. That just stays up.
That
s what the Eindhovens Dagblad writes. Sambo can still sign up for several years at the Philips Stadium. PSV wants to give him a support, as Sambo awaits a long rehab for the second time in his career. Previously, the right wing back was seriously injured on his knee and that has now happened again.
There was a lot of interest in Sambo before he was injured. The 20-year-old back was able to rent to SC Cambuur and FC Twente and Italian Sassuolo reportedly wanted to take over him permanently. Because of the severe injury, this is no longer an option, but PSV hopes to be able to keep the talent longer and help them in that way.
Sambos contract, which will be replaced by Jong PSV with new acquisitions Yunus Bahadir and Nathangelo Markelo, will continue until mid-2022.
