Queen Elizabeth wrongly declared dead on French website

Due to a technical problem several funeral ads were wrongly posted on the site of the French radio station Radio France Internationale on Monday. One of the ads was about the British Queen Elizabeth.

The medium has come up with a statement on the site. For example, it is explained that for certain people who are still alive, portraits or mourning ads have already been made. If someone dies then, the piece can be placed immediately. Because of the interference this happened already, to the great regret of the radio station.

The website had also reportedly published obituaries by Clint Eastwood, Sophia Loren and Brigitte Bardot. All the pieces placed – a total of about 100 cases – are currently being removed from the website. An internal investigation has also been initiated.
