Ramos opens booklet: ‘I knew many hours of darkness and loneliness’

Sergio Ramos would have preferred not to hit Real Madrid in the eighth final of the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain. For the Spaniard, it means a reunion with his old club, where he played for sixteen years. Ramos, however, stresses that he will give everything for his current employer.
PSG initially stumbled across Manchester United. Because the Champions League draw had to take place again, that changed: the French will now face Real Madrid. That is a special poster for Ramos. โ€œI would not have liked this meeting, but my upcoming return to Bernabรฉu is a reason for joy,โ€ says the routine to Marca. โ€œI haven‘t been able to say goodbye there yet due to the situation surrounding the coronavirus.โ€
โ€œFate is erratic,โ€ Ramos continues. โ€œAs I will say, I would rather play against another team. Everyone knows how much love I have for Real Madrid. But now my job is to defend PSG’
s club colors and I will do everything I can to continue in the Champions League. I‘m going to die for PSG.โ€
Ramos also talks about the difficult months he has had: he played only one more game for PSG due to sustained injury injury. โ€œIt was difficult, different from what I’
ve already experienced in my career. Injuries always stayed away from me, I knew many hours of darkness and loneliness, but it helped me overcome this challenge. It helped me to know who really were there and who wasn‘t. Now I’m laughing again.โ€
