US auction house Heritage has put a rare sealed copy of the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES up for sale. Its rarity is due to an early production period that lasted only a few months in late 1987. At the moment it is the earliest sealed copy of the original The Legend of Zelda, which has ever been put up for sale.
The current bid is $110,000, but the auction will not end until 4 days. Recall that in April this year the Heritage hammer left a rare sealed copy of another NES game — Super Mario Bros.
Lot sold for a record $660,000, making platformer the most expensive game in history. More on Mario Golf Gamermania: Super Rush holds UK retail chart lead Final Fantasy XIV breaks peak online record on Steam Rumor: Konami will make PES 2022 shareware.
