Raymond van Barneveld still in waiting room for coveted PDC tour card

Darter Raymond van Barneveld is still not sure of his coveted playing card for dartsbond PDC.

The five-time world champion had to go to jail again on Tuesday afternoon in the final round of the so-called Qualifying School. In Niedernhausen, Germany, Van Barneveld went down Stefan Bellmont. The Swiss turned out to be too strong for the Hague darter with 6-5.

Van Barneveld stranded in the eighth finals on Sunday and reached the last four on Monday. He will fight on Wednesday for a return to the highest darts level.

Van Barneveld started his second dart career. He said goodbye to his favorite sport more than a year ago, but returned to that decision in September.

The winners of the four days of the final round in Niedernhausen will be able to participate in the tournaments of the PDC next season. The eight best darters over four rounds can also be seen at the highest level this year.

Luc Peters grabbed next to the days profit on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Dutchman lost in the final with 6-2 to Florian Hempel from Germany. In the quarter-finals, he defeated Benito of the Pass. Geert Nentjes from Urk already secured a start receipt for the PDC on Monday.
