Real Madrid takes on Wednesday night against Atalanta Bergamo in the knockout phase of the Champions League. At the press conference before the competition, the Real trainer is reminded of the duels with Ajax two years ago.
Ajax took out Real and was too strong for Juventus in the round afterwards. Zidane sees a similarity between Atalanta and the Ajax two years ago. “I do not like comparisons, but they are both very attacking teams with a lot of individual quality,” the Frenchman responds to a question from a journalist. “Im expecting a very attractive game tomorrow.”
Zidane wants to go back to European success with his team this season. He knows how it feels: he won the Champions League as a trainer of Real three times. “We know what it feels like to make it to the final and plan to do it again. A club like Real can only be satisfied with profit,” concludes Zidane.
