Luka Jovic has definitely left Real Madrid. The 24-year-old Serbian forced a transfer of 63 million euros in 2019, but starts working at Fiorentina after three lost years at De Koninklijke.
Jovic excelled at Eintracht Frankfurt for his top transfer, but barely got to play at Real Madrid. In three years, he was able to score three goals and five assists in 51 official games, mostly short falls. In the meantime, he was already rented out to his old club.
So now a new adventure beckons in Florence: Fiorentina gets to take over him transfer-free from the Champions League winner, who will receive half of the transfer fee on a future resale. Jovic must follow in the footsteps of fellow countryman Dusan Vlahovic. He came to seventeen hits in 21 Serie A games last season, left for Juventus at the end of January and eventually became vice top scorer: only Ciro Immobile (SS Lazio) made more league goals last season.
