Real Madrid pulls out: Benzema milestone and Asensio hat trick

Real Madrid hit the Primera Division on Wednesday. The front runner won by a Marcos Asensio hat trick with 6-1 from Real Mallorca. It was also a special evening for Karim Benzema: he made his two hundredth goal in La Liga.
The French forward put Real ahead after just three minutes. He took advantage of a Josep Gayá slideout. The home team pushed through and reached 2-0 after 23 minutes thanks to Asensio, who was able to finish after a cross by Rodrygo. Real Mallorca replied immediately, but that upturn turned out to be short-lived. Benzema gave the ball not much later to Asensio, who made his second: 3-1.

Real Madrid was far too strong for visitors and Asensio completed his hat-trick ten minutes after the break. This was a welcome step for the Spanish forward, as he played a supporting role this season. Coach Carlo Ancelotti‘s team continued to work on the trust afterwards. After 78 minutes, Benzema trumped his attackers after a long ball by Alaba. He made his two hundredth hit on the Spanish fields.

😏 Marco Asensio leaves nothing entirely of his former employer. Three goals and Real Madrid can work well on goal balance 🥱 #ZiggoSport #LaLiga #RealMadridRCDMallorca
