Reception is packed with rabbits and guinea pigs

Many rodent shelters in the Netherlands are crowded at the moment. Rabbits, guinea pigs and other rodents are brought in large numbers or dumped in the wild.


A lot of people who were home during the corona-lockdown took a pet. Now they often want to get rid of it. According to owner Lonneke van de Konijnenherberg in Moergestel especially rabbits seem to do more work than expected. People are also disappointed that rabbits don’t like cuddling at all.
