Recipe of the day: apple pie with goat

week I was visiting Emilie van der Woerd of KokenOphout. I was there to see her beautiful garden in harvest time and immediately got a piece of apple pie before it. Yes, I did. Baked on a wooden shelf on the bbq. And, of course, from own apples.

Necessary for a cake:

โ€ข4 not so sweet apples

โ€ข1 tsp cinnamon

โ€ข200 gr of sugar

โ€ข5 eggs

โ€ข200 gr flour, sifted

โ€ขpowdered sugar for decoration

โ€ขbutter to grease

Another recipe but equally tasty: Secure the oven at 180ยฐ C. Butter a spring shape of 20 by 30 centimeters. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple pieces and lay the pieces in beautiful rows in the mold.

In a bowl, whisk the eggs and the sugar sugar for five minutes or at least until thick and foamy. Then gently pour the flour through the egg mixture. Gently, because you dont want to stir out the air you just knocked into it again. You do it with long soft strokes, thats why its called folding.

Pour the batter over the apple. Then the cake can be in the oven. 35 minutes? Maybe a little more, or a little less. If you do not trust your nose, use knitting needle.

Allow to cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. Oh, since its autumn, Ive done a little supermarket bock beer round. The most delicious stands out with head and shoulders above the sweet piece of the rest: Alfa Bok Beer.

Understand me, this was a supermarket dog. There are many other beautiful bock beers for sale at good liquors or local brewers.
