Wesley Sneijder is going to concentrate on the coaching profession. The record international of the Dutch national team has signed up for the abridged course of the KNVB, which lasts two years.
“I have spoken with Nico-Jan Hoogma (director of top football, ed.) and indicated that I would like to start the course. The intention is that I will be coached individually in the coming period and that I will get a taste of the course. From April next year I’ll be joining the course”, Sneijder said in the online talk show of Football International.
Sneijder played a total of 134 international games for the Dutch Team. In September 2018 against Peru, he wore the Dutch shirt for the last time.
Last month, there were rumors about a possible return as a footballer at FC Utrecht, but Sneijder eventually gave up.
