Relieved Roord is happy with the three points and responds briefly to interview in newspaper

The victory over Portugal felt like a relief for the Dutch national team, so also for Jill Roord. Afterwards, she also briefly looked back on her interview in de Volkskrant.
โ€œThe most important thing is the three points,โ€ says Roord at DecceIt after the 3-2 victory over Portugal. โ€œWe started off well, but then we broke down. It was a chaotic game, unnecessary and unfortunate. We managed to win by character. Danielle (Van de Donk, ed.) shot in the third fantastic.โ€
In the final phase, Roord received another yellow card. She went to get an angry story from a Portuguese who mowed her down. โ€œMore about that tackle of hers, yes. I found that the ref gave us a card very quickly and was fine with many of their offenses. I shouldn‘t react like that, but just got a little mad at her.โ€
InterviewIt was a lot about Roord on Wednesday, who indirectly criticized the vision of national coach Mark Parsons in de Volkskrant. Afterwards, she was asked about it. โ€œI don’
t know what you‘re talking about, so I don’t think I meant it that way. No boy, we‘re all being sarcastic and just joking about it with him. I don’t think you should take that seriously.โ€
