A remarkable trade-off between RKC Waalwijk and NAC Breda. Mario Bilate, the striker of the Waalwijkers, leaves for the Rat Verlegh Stadium. Finn Stokkers takes the opposite route.
That is what the NAC reports through official channels. NAC trainer Maurice Steijn has his desired coat rack in the rush hour. NAC and RKC agreed on the exchange deal on Friday. “With Mario we are bringing in a different type of striker. A ball-proof, strong striker. We have been looking for this for some time now and we are very happy to welcome him”, says Steijn in a short reaction.
Stokkers started NACs first two Cuisine Champion League matches in the base, but he wasnt absolutely sure of a base position at the club. A while back he was told that he could leave if he had a good bid. Stokkers scored eight goals in thirty games for NAC.
“When NAC Breda showed a concrete interest in Bilate, we took the opportunity to take over Stokkers at the same time. In the person of Stokkers, we are bringing in a player who is closer to the characteristics of a striker as we strive for within RKC”, says RKC director Frank van Mosselveld.
Bilate has been under contract with RKC for the past two seasons. In 2018/2019 he scored seven goals and four assists in fifteen matches, but missed many matches because of an injury. Last season Bilate came into action seventeen times, but just couldnt find it.
