Devyne Rensch is on an advance at Ajax. He has won his place in the selection of the first team and has already played against a number of major clubs. One of his great examples in Amsterdam? Daley Blind.
Last season, Rensch played in the O19 of Ajax around this time. “It went pretty fast, yes,” he indicates in conversation with the club channel. He has already played matches against PSV and AZ. “That brings with it a different tension. You also need to think faster and play faster. The opponents are smarter too.”
Rensch knows what his weaknesses are and what he has to work on, but his strengths are also clear. “In my game is guts from backwards. I dribble in a lot and pass my husband. Well, defensive, Im pretty good, too. I learn a lot from trainer Winston Bogarde. If Noussair Mazraoui is injured, Im ready to get in.”
The young defender sees Blind as a good example. “He thinks a little further than the rest. Hes smart. I can learn from that. He has peace and dares to play a man. And the passes he gives me are fat,” concludes Rensch.
