At the beginning of the year, Jeff Grubb reported that Respawn, known for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends and Titanfall, is working on a single AAA shooter, and it will not be Titanfall 3. It was supposed to be a project in a new universe, but, apparently, the game will still unfold in the world of Apex Legends. This is indicated by a vacancy published by Respawn, which notes that the studio needs a specialist (or rather, an artist) to work on a “solo adventure” and at the same time a “first-person shooter in the Apex universe”.
Apparently, the project is still at the prototype stage. Recall that earlier Grubb noted that the game will probably not be released until 2024-2025, and he described the project itself as “dynamic and stylish”.
However, it is also possible that the new shooter in the Apex Legends universe is not the project that Grubb was talking about. After all, we are talking about the project at a very early stage of development, and there may be several small teams working on prototypes in large studios.
Also at the beginning of the year, it became known that Respawn Entertainment is preparing three Star Wars games: among them Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to The Fallen Order, as well as a shooter and strategy.
