Kenny Tete was added by interim-bond coach Dwight Lodeweges to the selection of the Dutch National Team for the Nations League-games of the Dutch Team against Poland (September 4) and Italy (September 7).
The rightback was on the preliminary list, but did not initially belong to the final list. Due to private circumstances, it is uncertain whether Denzel Dumfries – also rechtsback – can be present.
Tete’s teammate at Lyon Memphis Depay reports as “the man” after his three goals against Dijon:
In March 2019, Tete played an international game for the last time. During the EK-qualifying match against Belarus, the 12-time international fell in, but was forced to be replaced after two minutes because of a hamstring injury. Those were his only minutes in the qualifying series.
With the addition of Tete, the Dutch squad consists of 24 players.
