Romanias biggest bear shot by prince

Many people from Romania are angry at a prince from Liechtenstein, Prince Emanuel. According to the Romanians, the prince deliberately shot the largest bear in the country.

Its about the brown bear Arthur. Together with some 6,000 other bears, he lives in a protected forest area. Shooting bears is only allowed there if theyre a threat to humans. But according to the mayor over there, the prince had a license to shoot Arthur.

But according to animal rights organizations, the mayors story isnt right. They say the prince had a license to shoot another, smaller bear.

The prince himself does not want to respond. However, he took Arthurs bearskin to Liechtenstein. In response, many online actions have started to get the bear skin back to Romania. The Romanian police are also investigating the case.
