Romano: Weghorst immediately gets new competitor at Besiktas after presentation

Wout Weghorst was presented by Besiktas on Tuesday evening and can immediately prepare for the arrival of a competitor. Jackson Muleka will trade Standard Liège for the Turkish club.
With that news, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano unpacks just after the Weghorst transfer has been completed. Muleka is under contract with Standard for two more years, but is about to seal his transfer to Besiktas. The contracts are being signed this week, it sounds. How much Standard will be left is still unknown.
Muleka was brought to Sclessin in 2020 and scored fifteen times in 54 official matches. Last spring he already made meters in the Turkish Super Lig: Standard rented him to Kasimpasa, where he scored no less than twelve times in fourteen competition matches.
So earlier in the evening, Weghorst was presented in Istanbul. The Borne striker will be hired next season from Burnley, which was relegated from the Premier League last season.

After Weghorst, Jackson Muleka will also join Besiktas. Deal almost done with contracts to be signed this week for Muleka. ⚪️🦅 #Besiktas
