Ritsu Doan’s adventure at PSV is over for the time being. The 22-year-old Japanese will be leased by the people of Eindhoven for a season to the German Arminia Bielefeld, who last season promoted to the Bundesliga.
Last year Doan came over from FC Groningen for about 7.5 million euros, but never managed to make an indelible impression in the shirt of PSV. The offensive midfielder was good for 2 goals and 3 assists in 25 matches.
Ritsu Doan was often the star in FC Groningen’s service.
Playing for Playing
PSV coach Roger Schmidt has no place in his team for the Japanese left foot, who still has a contract with PSV until mid-2024. Doan would like to play in his own country in view of next year’s Olympics.
Doan was already missing Thursday afternoon at the practice match against the German third division player Viktoria Köln (1-1) to complete his transfer.
