PSV trainer Roger Schmidt states that Mario Götze‘s presence in the Europa League clash against Olympiakos will have an impact. The German trainer will still leave in the middle if the 63-fold international will appear from the kick-off.
“He can play and his presence – either from the kick-off or as a substitute – will have an impact”, says Schmidt at the press conference, where he is quoted by Eindhoven’s Dagblad. “I think everyone has seen how much influence they had on our game and our players before the winter stop and think he‘s going to do what he did before.”
Schmidt can’t dispose of Mohamed Ihattaren on Thursday. “He is sick, so he couldn‘t come along anyway”, explains the 53-year-old practitioner. “In addition, there was another problem, because he was unable to train for the last two days due to a muscle injury. Sunday he trained individually and that’s where it happened.”
