Sinisterra shines at first base place, Ziyech loses again with Chelsea

Southampton helped Chelsea even further down the drain on Tuesday night by beating them 2-1. Fulham wins over Brighton with the same numbers. Crystal Palace and Brentford, like Leeds United and Everton, hold it on a 1-1 draw Tuesday night.
Southampton – Chelsea 2-1
Chelsea started with Hakim Ziyech in the base and the former player of Ajax played along for the full ninety minutes. Chelsea first got the lead via a Sterling goal, but that goal was soon nullified by Belgian Romeo Lavia. Adam Armstrong took the score at 2-1 just before halftime, and this justified loss puts Chelsea back in eighth place in the Premier League with seven points from five games.

Fulham – Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1
At the game at Craven Cottage, the score only started in the second half. Who else but Aleksander Mitrovic opened the ball for Fulham just after halftime. Seven minutes later, defender Lewis Dunk shot the unfortunate 2-0 behind his own goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. In the sixtieth minute, Alexis MacAllister did something back by making the 2-1 via a penalty, but Brighton did not come alongside. Joel Veltman and Kenny Tete both started their teams in the base eleven.

Leeds United — Everton 1-1
Pascal Struijk was also allowed to kick off at the Leeds match. The Dutchman could not prevent Chelsea coveted Anthony Gordon from making 1-0 for Everton. In the second half, Leeds United came alongside a beautiful goal by summer addition Luis Sinisterra. The Colombian who came over from Feyenoord started in the base for the first time and immediately scored his first goal in the Premier League. Furthermore, there was no more scoring, which meant that the teams had to share the points.

Crystal Palace – Brentford 1-1
At this game in London, too, it was a long wait for the first goal, but this first goal was a very nice one by Wilfried Zaha. The attacker curls the ball in beautifully from sixteen meters. For a long time after that, it seemed that Crystal Palace would also run off with the win, but Yoane Wissa stopped that in the final phase by shooting the 1-1 against the ropes. After that, the tie remained on the board.

A great goal by Wilfried Zaha! 🤤👉 #ViaplayVoetbal #ViaplaySportNL
