Ajax and RB Leipzig are playing poker over Brian Brobbey‘s transfer fee, reports the German branch of Sky Sports. The attacker already has a personal agreement with the Amsterdammers and does not want to return to Germany at all costs.
Earlier, De Cceit already reported that Brobbey is fast on his way to Ajax, but that Leipzig’s asking price was still a stumbling block. The Roten Bullen reportedly want 25 million euros, while the Amsterdammers think of fifteen million. Sky reports that Ajax will not pay the mentioned 25 million and that a compromise will be made.
The likelihood that Brobbey will be on the field in Germany next Tuesday, when Leipzig starts preparing for the new season, is said to be very slim. “The transfer is nearing completion,” it sounds. Brobbey was already on loan to Ajax for the past six months, after he left transfer-free last year. In the second half of the season, he proved his worth for the championship team of Erik ten Hag, including decisive hits against PSV and NEC.
#RBLeipzig
