Feyenoord cant tell you how long Frank Arnesen has been out of rotation. The Danish Technical Director resigns from his position for an indefinite period of time due to health complaints.
His health is a source of concern, writes De Cceit. Arnesen had a hefty bacteria in the knee joint just before the Conference League final against AS Roma, became clear shortly after the final battle. In the meantime, no improvements are visible. “Franks health is the most important thing,” says general manager Dennis te Kloese to the morning newspaper.
A quick return of the Dane does not seem to be in it. “Franks physical condition does not allow us to carry out the especially demanding tasks associated with the position of technical director with complete dedication. For him, it is now essential to get his rest so that he can fully focus on his recovery.”
Arnesens tasks are completed internally until his return. In the coming important weeks, with both inbound and outbound transfers, Arne Slot will also do its part. “I also watched players during my vacation,” he says. “But not as much as last year. Then, before I came to Feyenoord, I was off for half a year and actually just scout for the period that I was going to work in De Kuip. I cant put that much time into it right now. But, of course, we are looking at reinforcements together.”
