Arne Slot does understand that Bryan Linssen thinks it was unfair that Jens Toornstra went on with the Goal of the Month at Feyenoord. The trainer of the Rotterdammers also believes that the Limburg attacker was more entitled to the prize.
Linssen scored nicely against sc Heerenveen, but Toornstras goal was preferred against PSV. “I liked Bryans better if I have to be honest,” Slot laughs at the press conference. “Working into the ball behind your standbone is a little more unique than how Jens makes it, although technically that was very handsome. But its my estimation that Bryan needs to be a little more popular with the supporters. I think Jens is a bit higher in the hierarchy when it comes to popularity.”
= ⚽️😆 I think @jenstoornstra is just a bit higher in the hierarchy in terms of popularity #feyrkc https://t.co/ieXVs36yOM pic.twitter.com/V50V98yzpW

“If Bryan plays at Feyenoord for several more years, he might also win this Goal of the Month competition,” Slot jokes. The outcome is determined by The Legion. “Jens has a dash, which is completely justified given the championship he won and the prizes he has won. But the way Bryan plays now makes him increasingly popular.”
