The Snollebollekes have pulled out all the stops for their first own festival. Front man Rob Kemps tells the ANP that the Total Loss Festival takes place online instead of in Eindhoven because of the corona crisis shouldnt spoil the fun.
We spared no expense to build a stage including light, sound, flames and a fireworks show, Kemps shines. The Brabant party act, known from songs like Left Right and Vrouwkes, shares the stage on Saturday with guest artists like Jody Bernal, Trafassi and DJ Paul Elstak. The stream can be watched on the Snollebollekes YouTube channel and via social media.
Next year, Kemps hopes to come face to face with the 40,000 visitors that will take place at Aquabest beach park in Eindhoven, where the Total Loss Festival was supposed to take place. The plans for the second edition are already on the table. I will stay positive in any case, says Kemps. His festival will be a two-day event next year, which should take place on 4 and 5 September.
Its difficult that there is no perspective, says de Snollebollekes-frontman about the impact the corona crisis is having on events. We dont know where we stand and thats annoying Kemps hopes that there will soon be a corona vaccine so that large groups of people can come together again. A meter and a half away at our concerts seems unsociable to me, there has to be partying
