Sony revamped Sunset Overdrive trademark

The network drew attention that at the end of April Sony updated the trademark Sunset Overdrive – an action platformer in the open world for the authorship of Insomniac, which came out on Xbox One and PC. Now developers are owned by Sony, however the game was released by Microsoft. The rights to the intellectual property itself belonged to developers, and now Sony, but who owns the publishing rights to the first part is unknown.

Many hoped that Sony could release a remaster or remake of Sunset Overdrive for PlayStation, however the company has not publicly expressed much desire to return to the series. Perhaps something has changed.

Especially just a couple of months ago, the games game director Drew Murray returned to Insomniac after several years working at Microsofts studio to relaunch Perfect Dark. Perhaps the studio still has some plans for Sunset Overdrive.
