Spanish media fille ‘future bench sitter’ Frenkie de Jong after weak Clásico

Frenkie de Jong is the bitten dog after FC Barcelonas lost Clásico against Real Madrid. The Spanish media does not spare the switched midfielder after a weak performance. Memphis Depay also gets off badly.
De Jong was the guardian of Luka Modric, notes Marca. According to the Madrilean sports newspaper, it was at the expense of himself.
Frenkie was more concerned with Modric than his own game. Koeman continued to support him in the second half, until he had seen enough and changed his compatriot (for Sergi Roberto, ed.).
Marca is hard for De Jong:
He is far from his usual level and was the worst player in El Clásico. And thats bad news for Barça. Memphis Depay is also criticized. Invisibly in large parts of the game, left-winger and striker. His small share of big games is worrying.
Ronald Koeman does get support. Everyone can see that Barça is light years away from what is expected of Barça, but it wasnt so bad against Real Madrid. In the end, everyone must be able to live with 1-2 defeat.

The Catalan daily La Vanguardia gives De Jong the lowest report figure in Barcelona: a 4. Uncomfortable, this is how his performance is typified. The Dutchman didnt feel at home in midfield the whole game. AS does not save the Orange midfielder either. The worst game since he was a Barça player. Totally inconsistent, in every way. If he continues like that, he becomes a bank. Koeman should start thinking about that seriously.
In Barças 4-3-3 system, De Jong did not take any initiative in the attack, had no strength in the defence and showed a growing and alarming uncertainty in the passage, writes Mundo Deportivo.

For Diario Sport, the performance of De Jong gave rise to a 4. He should be one of the leaders of Barça, but he is not. He only excels if the game unrolls according to a positive scenario.
The same newspaper worries Memphis. His inspiration has dried up, it sounds.
The Dutchman started the season well, but lately it has been searching for assists and goals. Luuk de Jong also gets a heavy inadequate, even though he fell in just five minutes before time. No action succeeded, says Sport.
