The transfer from Quincy Promes to Spartak Moscow is still unfinished. The Russian club has deposited three proposals with Ajax and hopes that white smoke will still be released.
Sport-Express reports. Spartak wants maximum guarantees in case Promes is convicted. The player is a suspect in a criminal case. Spartak hopes for a deal that is as free of obligation as possible and has offered Ajax three options:
– A rent with option to buy at the end of the season; – Split payments including the possibility of terminating the agreement if Promes has to return to the Netherlands; – Spartak pays the full transfer amount, but gets a part of Ajax back if Promes has to return to Netherlands
PR director Anton Fetisov of Spartak Moscow confirms the above. “We have offered Ajax three options for this deal,” he says to Sport-Express. “Spartak is willing to negotiate and wants to be flexible. We hope we can reach an agreement.” Ajax has not yet responded to Spartaks proposals.
Promes still has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2024. In the summer of 2019, the club paid 15 million euros for him to Seville.
