Speedrunner past The Last of Us on difficulty ‘realism’ in 2 hours 48 minutes

Speedrunner Anthony Caliber passed the first part of The Last of Us on โ€œrealismโ€ in just 2 hours 48 minutes โ€” a new world record. The record run took place on August 20 and was broadcast live on the streamers Twitch channel. In Realism mode, enemies become more survivable, and ammunition and crafting materials are less frequent.

It is worth noting that the speedran went without the help of various glitches, and therefore, the game was not simplified or complicated. In total, Kaliber took 2 hours 48 minutes and 58 seconds to setting a new record.

His previous attempt took 2 hours and 49 minutes and 6 second. Caliber is far from new to speedrans: he is currently the record holder for passing most of the Naughty Dog catalog, in vol including The Last of Us: Left Behind, The Last of Us: Part II, and the first three games in the Uncharted series.
