Stellaris to release Lem update dedicated to Stanislaw Lems centenary

Paradox Development announced the imminent release of the 3. 1 Lem content update to its Stellaris 4X strategy. This patch is timed to coincide with the centenary of legendary Polish science fiction writer Stanislaw Lem and is being worked on by a new team of Custodians, who have been assembled to update and support Stellaris.

The Lem update adds a lot of new content to the game. These include new selectable traditions, changes in the balance of civic patterns, additional origins, improvement and expansion of plant species and necroids.

The scope of changes and innovations by tradition illustrated by Paradox programmer and designer Piergod 2021 is designated as the โ€œYear of Lemโ€, the most famous of Polish writers. His works not only became iconic, they proved prophetic: the fantasy-intellectual predicted the demise of paper books, the emergence of smartphones and cryptocurrencies, transhumanism and virtual reality.

His story โ€œCongress of Futurologistsโ€ is considered a forerunner of the cult film series โ€œThe Matrixโ€ . Patch 3.
