Streets completely underwater: North of Spain is facing severe floods

Several roads have been blocked and streets in cities of Bilbao and Basauri, among others, have been flooded.

Authorities had warned of flooding and asked residents not to come close to the rivers and flooded area. There were no casualties, but the emergency services received dozens of reports of fallen trees and flooded houses last night.

The fire department has been torn out several times to free people from their cars:

Last weekend, the blizzard Arwen also caused problems in the north of Spain. Several roads were impassable and truck drivers got stuck with their vehicle.
