Streppel gives trial player captain band: ‘Wass ist dies? Very bad German huh? ‘

Roda JC trainer Jurgen Streppel was laughing in front of ESPNs camera after Fridays practice match against RKC Waalwijk. German defender Florian Mayer was allowed to wear the captain band, although he is not even in the service of Roda JC yet: Streppel is already trying to excite him.
The Mayer trained at Borussia Mรถnchengladbach joined Roda as a test player at the beginning of July. So the deal hadnt been sounded on Friday, but Streppel likes to keep up with him, provided Mayer improves on a number of points. โ€œHe just has qualities, but he needs to talk more,โ€ the trainer said. โ€œIts hard too, because he doesnt know the language yet, and so on. So Im trying to help him a little bit.โ€
So Streppel did that by handing the band to Mayer. According to him, the other players could laugh about it. โ€œPflรผcke, the other German boy, who started laughing of course. Was ist dies? Or thats really bad German isnt it? No, the guys laugh about it, and thats what the group signs.โ€
By the way, Roda lost 2-4 to RKC. Mayer was one of the players who were swapped in peace.
