‘Strootman undergoes medical inspection and opts for Italian adventure’

Kevin Strootman is going to sign a contract with Cagliari. According to Sky Sport Italia, the Dutch midfielder underwent his medical examination in Sardinia on Wednesday.
The report from Italy is that Strootman is as good as inside for Cagliari. If the medical examination at Stadio Sant‘Elia does not cause any problems, the experienced midfielder will start drawing in the island capital.
That means that the 31-year-old Ridderkerker is taking another Italian adventure. Last season he played eighteen games in the base at Genoa, and between 2013 and 2018 he won AS Roma with great success. Olympique Marseille, PSV, FC Utrecht and Sparta are also on the palmares of the defensive midfielder.
At Cagliari, Strootman becomes a team mate of ex-PSV’
er Gastón Pereiro, Radja Nainggolan and Diego Godín, among others. Last season, the Rossoblu ended disappointingly in sixteenth place in Serie A. Strootman turned eleventh with Genoa.
