The British police arrested a suspect last night for the murder of London elementary school teacher Sabina Nessa (28). She disappeared last Friday in south London as she walked from her home to a pub, where she had an appointment. Her body was found in a park the next day.
Suspect is a 38-year-old man from East Sussex, police say. East Sussex is a county in the south east of England. Two suspects had been arrested before. They were released pending the investigation.
London police spread this footage on Friday. In connection with the investigation, it was asked who knows this man:
Nessa‘s murder unleashed a lot of outrage. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, expressed her sympathy to friends and family on Twitter. “I am saddened because another innocent young woman died on the street,” Prince William’s wife tweeted. Wakes were held in London and other British cities as well.
Nessa‘s sister burst into tears at the wake in London:
The murder of Nessa rekindled the debate about women’s safety in the streets. Over half a year ago, a woman was murdered in London while walking on the street, 33-year-old Sarah Everard. Her body was recovered a week later in a forest near the capital. A police officer has been charged with the murder.
